What challenges will the wood and veneer industry face and how will the veneer market develop in the coming years?
These questions, among others, were discussed at this year's general meeting of IFN - Initiative Furnier + Natur e.V. in Stockerau near Vienna.
This year's host was the company JAF International Services Gesellschaft m.b.H in Stockerau, Austria.
In addition to a lot of information on current market events and the topic of sustainability, Cathy Lynn Danzer from the Danzer Group gave an exciting presentation on the topic of "Truth in naming". DG Wood presented what we can expect in terms of mandatory declarations - the new EUDR standard was hotly discussed and will keep us very busy in the future.
In the evening, there was much lively discussion over dinner at the JAF Academy. On Friday morning, we went on an impressive guided tour of the huge warehouse and the new JAF Group machining centre with fully automated furniture production. A very successful event - many thanks for the great organisation.
