The start of the 2025/26 log season also marks the start of our intensive procurement tour through the forests of Switzerland and Europe. Tobias Scherg and Antonio Garcia are once again travelling directly on site to personally select the logs that will later be used to produce high-quality veneer for the discerning carpentry, architectural and industrial trades.
For us, purchasing does not start in the warehouse, but in the middle of the forest. Where the growth, location and care of a tree are transparent and traceable. We attach great importance to legal and responsible forestry, transparent origins and respectful treatment of forest owners and forestry operations.
What makes our selection special is our experience. A trained eye can recognise the potential of a standing or lying trunk. Characteristics such as knottiness, growth pattern, tension or the first signs of damage determine whether a tree can be processed into first-class veneer. Only logs that meet our high standards of quality, sustainability and certification find their way into our procurement.
