Leave the building site behind and move into consultancy – your expertise is still in demand.
Do you know doors not just from a catalogue, but from real-world experience? Have you worked as a joiner, door fitter or in door production, and would you like to put your expertise to use in an office-based role in future?
Then this role is exactly the right next step for you.
Roser AG is an independent SME based in Birsfelden near Basel and a leading trader in veneers and wood-based materials. In the wood-based materials sector, we supply and advise joinery workshops, carpentry firms, floor layers and other trade businesses in north-west Switzerland – including on doors, parquet flooring, flooring and accessories.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed individual to join us immediately or by agreement as:
In-house Doors Specialist 80–100 %
Here’s why this role is exciting:
With us, you’re not just ‘moving into an office’. You’ll be putting your practical experience to use where it’s needed every day: in advising clients, carrying out technical assessments and supporting our customers.
You’ll work with experts in the field, take on responsibility and gradually develop into an exciting back-office role.
Your responsibilities:
- You’ll handle customer enquiries and orders relating to doors.
- You’ll draw up quotations and clarify technical details.
- You’ll support customers with your practical knowledge.
- You’ll liaise with suppliers, the sales team and internal departments.
- You’ll help find suitable solutions for projects in the doors sector.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Training as a joiner or practical experience in door production or door fitting
- Good knowledge of all aspects of doors, such as construction, fittings, dimensions, standards and installation
- A passion for applying your specialist knowledge in day-to-day office work and when dealing with customers
- An independent, reliable and solution-oriented approach to work
- Good command of German
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or a willingness to learn
Here’s what you can expect at Roser:
- An ideal entry point into office-based work – particularly if you’re looking to take the next step in your career away from construction sites, workshops or production
- A small, close-knit team with a wealth of specialist knowledge
- Your own workspace in a quiet two-person office
- Flat hierarchies and short lines of communication
- Regular, family-friendly working hours
- Thorough induction into your new role
- A varied range of tasks relating to doors and high-end interior fit-outs
- Opportunities for further training and career progression to become a VST / VSSM door planner
- Fair, market-rate remuneration and a performance-related bonus
Sound interesting?
