Bog oak veneer at Roser AG - A unique natural wonder from 3,000 years of history for extraordinary projects

  • #Furnier

3000 years ago, in 975 B.C., the world was in the late Bronze Age or early Iron Age. In Europe, this was the time of the Urnfield culture, which is regarded as the forerunner of Celtic culture. In China, the first characters were developed on pottery, and in the Middle East, in Mesopotamia, the first advanced civilisation emerged.

At this time, this oak tree probably toppled over in a heavy storm, fell into a river or a lake and was covered by sediments and thus preserved.

More than 3,400m2 of the finest veneer was sliced from this unique specimen more than 3,000 years later, without cutting and with the utmost care.

This extraordinary tree is now awaiting its extraordinary project at ROSER AG.
