Problem
During the interior fit-out of the Muri community centre, a key challenge arose: a very large quantity of oak veneer had to appear absolutely uniform across numerous structural elements.
Various applications – such as wall cladding, doors, fire protection elements and stair railings – spanning seven storeys without interruption – demanded the utmost precision and consistently high material quality. Particularly with large surfaces and complex projects, achieving a uniform appearance with classic veneer is often difficult.
Solution
By using Veneer Express Layons, Roser AG was able to tackle this very challenge head-on.
A key advantage: Roser AG produces and inspects its veneers in-house. This ensures consistently high quality and a uniformly coordinated appearance – even with large quantities and demanding projects.
The industrially precise production of the Fixmasse enabled exceptional consistency in the veneer finish. As early as the planning phase, Roser AG worked alongside the architects and the contracting joinery firm to select the optimal oak veneer finish.
A bespoke, lacquered sample served as the basis for the decision and ensured that the chosen veneer met the design requirements exactly.
Result
The result is impressive across the board: a consistent, understated and high-quality oak veneer finish throughout the entire building.
Thanks to Furnier Express’s fixed-dimension veneer and Roser’s in-house production, a uniform veneer finish was achieved across a large volume – without any visual breaks and with perfect coordination across all building components.
Today, the Muri Town Hall stands as a modern administrative building with clean architectural lines and a warm, natural appearance – characterised by the quality, precision and expertise of Roser AG in the field of oak veneer.
