Detailed Description

A medium-sized tree up to 20 m high and up to 100 cm in diameter. Shaft straight and cylindrical throughout, but rarely knotless above 15 m. The trunk has low roots.

Characteristic and wood color

The sapwood and heartwood are set off. The sapwood is narrow and of greyish colour, the heartwood is light brown to olive brown, with darker stripes and veins, silky shiny, therefore also very decorative. The wood has a walnut character.
