Characteristic and wood color

The sapwood and heartwood are clearly separated from each other. Sapwood of varying thickness light brown, later darkening. Heartwood brownish with reddish tone and often interspersed with irregular, darker to deep brown stripes. Particularly beautiful grain shows the root wood.
