Veneer Satin Walnut smoked for St. Jakobshalle Basel renovation

The St. Jakobshalle near Basel (Münchenstein) was officially opened in 1976 and is located on the St. Jakob sports grounds, directly opposite the football stadium. It was designed and built by the Basel architect Giovanni Panozzo.

In the years 2014 - 2018 the hall was completely renovated, converted and extended by BBK Berrel Berrel Kräutler AG architects and Degelo architects. In the center of the building there is a generously laid out catering zone with various catering and restaurant areas. The complete outer shell of this area was covered with veneer in the wood species Satin Walnut smoked.

In the concept.room of Roser AG, the architects selected this very special type of wood. The very expressive and vivid wood species in a warm dark brown tone looks like a "treasure chest" in combination with the high-gloss surface. This gives the entire complex a high-quality and noble character, both inside and outside the building.

Roser supplied not only the veneer, but also the complete and ready veneered, machined and painted elements.
