Project description:
With the construction of the new Aegelmatt nursery, the municipality of Pratteln is creating modern and forward-looking spaces for education and childcare. The two-storey timber building will house three nursery schools on the ground floor and a day care centre on the upper floor, forming the first phase of the comprehensive renovation of the Aegelmatt school complex. The architecture by Brandenberger Kloter Architekten focuses on a clear, functional design and the consistent use of natural materials.
For the high-quality joinery work, Roser AG was able to assist the project team at an early stage of planning in selecting the appropriate veneer. At konzept.raum, various material and veneer solutions were presented and samples were reviewed together with those responsible.
Carefully selected raw fir veneer was used, which continues the natural character of the timber construction into the interior design. Using the supplied veneer, Roser AG produced bespoke veneer panels and veneered boards for the contracting joinery firms, tailored to the specific project requirements. This ensured a harmonious and consistent veneer finish across all components.
The result is a bright, welcoming interior with an authentic wooden character that complements the architecture of the new building perfectly and creates a warm atmosphere for children, childcare staff and teachers.
